Newcastle Universities career service are currently advertising two placements through the NWE scheme. These are internships that take place alongside your studies. You conduct around 100 hours of work experience and receive a £700 bursary at the end for doing so. Its a great opportunity for anyone looking for experience next term.

Seven Stories is the National home of Children’s Books. There is no other place like it in the UK. Everything we do celebrates children’s books, their creators and their readers. In this placement you will work closely with our Learning and Participation Co-ordinator (Early Years) to capture footage about a current learning project, Living Books. This will involve featuring storytelling and training sessions, as well as interviews with Seven Stories’ staff, Newcastle University researchers, early years practitioners and parents.
Overview: The North East Raising Aspiration Partnership (NERAP) is a collaboration of the five universities in the region working together to support the progression to higher education for young people from under-represented groups. We’re looking for a quick learner with an aptitude for digital and online communications, who is ready to get stuck in and help support our activities…
Person Requirements: Creative writing skills, ideally for websites; practical experience of using social media tools; a demonstrable passion for digital marketing and social media.
