Whether you’re living at home having just graduated, or struggling with rent, you’re dealing with what he terms a loss of identity or expectation: “If the expectation is that you’re going to graduate and get a job, and this doesn’t happen, it can be upsetting. It’s important to realise it’s normal to feel down about this, and then to take measures to prevent your behaviour from spiralling.”
