Student Advice Centre – Volunteering Opportunities

We have had a message from David Quinn, NUSU’s Student Advisor, who is looking for people to help run the Student Advice Centre over summer and in the future. This would look great in a CV! This is the message:

“We are looking for student volunteers to join the Student Advice Centre team during both the summer vacation and during the next academic year. Our volunteers will gain experience working in a busy student advice centre, working with us in administration, event planning, promotion, research and fundraising. Our volunteers may also be able to take this voluntary role as part of the Career Development Module, should their course allow it, as well as gaining recognition through NUSU’s student awards and the university’s NCL+ awards.”

Interested students can find more information about the programme, as well as an application pack, at http://www.nusu.ac.uk/sac/volunteers, or they can attend our volunteer open afternoon on Tuesday 12 April from 1pm. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday 15 April. HERE is the application pack you can check out before getting in touch with David about the job.
