Newcastle University is recruiting for 16 Graduate Ambassadors!
This 1-year scheme looks really varied and interesting work, plus the fact it’s a 1-year contract means you’re not tied down and it is a good stopping gap that will look valuable on your CV if you need more time to think about what you want to do. It will be a competitive scheme and looking at the job ad below, it looks like the emphasis will be on proven experience of getting involved in all aspects of Uni life (e.g. Course Rep, Dance society committee member, volunteering with SCAN), teaching/public speaking experience and marketing. DON’T WORRY there are a few weeks left before the deadline if you love the scheme and need to quickly get involved with some activities on campus… (write for us!)
ALSO, the salary is £20,198 brut (brut = before tax, net = after tax/what you actually get) which is certainly not to be sniffed at – just think, you could continue living low-maintenance as a student and save up for that travelling/car/qualification…
*TOP TIP: Get in touch with one of the current Graduate Ambassadors and ask them more about the job and what the recruiters will be looking for in your application! I can spot several on LinkedIn…*
